The Cellular Jail still stands today as a dark reminiscence of the cruelty of British rulers over Indian and the inhuman treatment meted out to the people who dared to raise their voice against the wrongs done by the rulers. The great and immortal freedom fighters such as freedom fighters like Batukeshwar Dutt and Veer Savarkar were incarcerated in Cellular Jail. There is a heart-rending light and sound show that occurs in the evening spelling out the pitiful story of the struggle of the prisoners that shall take you back to the age the colonial rule.
